Catholics: Why is a Chaplet of Divine Mercy said on a rosary, but rarely associated with the prayer beads?

It seems like the only prayer associated with the beads is the Rosary, why is that?

  1. My name is Says:

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy has only been around since it’s approval by Pope John Paul II in the year 2000.

Before that it was propagated but not with as much backing as it received with the canonization of St Faustina.

There are many many many Chaplets said on the Rosary but of course the most powerful and well know is and probably will always be the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
