How do you learn how to make polymer clay character beads from start to finish like and expert?
lantonel asked:
I would really love to learn how to make polymer clay beads, specifically character beads. There are so many tallented artists on ebay, and I'd love to become one of them, but haven't a clue how to start other than buying all sorts polymer clay tools and clay. I worked with it a little, but mostly got stuck in the finishing of the beads. Any suggestions on how I can become an expert bead maker from start to finish? Thanks for your help!

by Carol Blackburn is probably one of the best books I have seen on the subject and you can get it from Amazon.com

There are a number of good books on polymer clay bead making. You could check your local library first to see which ones you like, then purchase some. If you go to Amazon, just type in ‘polymer clay beads’ in the subject, and it will pull up a big list for you. The best books list all the materials and tools you’ll need, plus have step-by-step guides for different projects. They will also have a list of sources where you can buy your materials. You might also check your community college or community center or an art school for classes or workshops on polymer clay. It’s usually more fun to take a class, and you can get ideas and learn stuff from your classmates.
