I have this shirt that I looove but unfortunately I try to avoid wearing it so much because I really have no idea how to wash it. It's got sequins & beads all along the neckline. I really need to wash it! I've heard of putting it in a pillowcase (if you're going to wash it in the washer).. but I want your guys' advice? What detergent to use, hot/cold water, everything!

It would be helpful to know what type of fabric the remainder of the shirt is, cotton? linen? silk? rayon? This will help determine the proper care.
Anything with beads, sequins etc is best washed with gentle hand washing soap such as Woolite. Washing it inside out will also help keep the beads intact. Cold water, squeeze water out gently, rinse in cold, again squeeze gently. Lay shirt flat to dry, use cool iron if necessary, and iron inside out to not melt beads etc. Good luck, I know just what you mean about a favored item of clothing.
