I am thinking of using some silver beads made by the Karen Hill Tribes out of Thailand. Does anyone know how the quality is? I know it's pure silver, but the beads look hollow. I want my beads to be solid and heavy, not hollow and cheap.

hill tribe silver is gorgeous. It’s not as light as you think – even though they are sometimes hollow, it is pure silver, so it has a lot of weight for it’s size.
The work is very high quality, and in person the necklaces made from them are pretty spectacular.
HIll tribe silver pieces are very recognizable to other people who are “beady” or are into jewelry.
