What is the best way to sew beads on a t-shirt?

I have started embellishing t-shirts by sewing beads/sequins on them. What is the best way to do this so that they do not come loose after repeated washings? Can I sew them and glue them for extra strength? If so, does anyone have a particular glue that they can recommend? Or is there maybe some kind of wonder-under type product that I can iron on the back to hold the stitching in place?? Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated!!

Instead of sewing on beads, have you considered the kind that iron on?

There are little svaroski crystals that you can buy at Hobby Lobby, as well as the iron applicator to apply them. I've used the little iron to put jewels on machine embroidery that I've done. It's lasted through a great number of washings – it was on a girl's dress.

There's a company on the internet that you can buy them from too – I've seen them at some sewing shows. They also have iron on premade designs for shirts that might work… Link below…
