Children in intermediate grades in our school are wearing various long strings of single-colored beads around their necks and often wrapped around their bodies. Is there any significance to the colors they are wearing? Boys and girls are wearing them. Are they simply a fashion statement? Or, is there more to it?

it’s just fashion. They’ll stop wearing those beads within a week or so. By the way, what grade are they in?
