Can I sew them and glue them for extra strength? If so, does anyone have a particular glue that they can recommend? Or is there maybe some kind of wonder-under type product that I can iron on the back to hold the stitching in place?? Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated!!

I'm trying to polish some small wooden beads for making jewelry with varnish. The problem is how do I dry them without getting lumps of varnish? If I set them on wax paper it pools around the bottom, if I pierce and suspend them, the varnish runs down and hangs from the bottom. They are very small, so I don't want to sand them (it would take hours) and I can't run them through a tumbler/polisher. Any ideas?
