I had some small parffin wax beads given to me that are strongly scented and painted gold. They are roundish in shape and no larger then a small pea. Can anyone help me with a formula and directions to make this small wax bead for candle project and sachets in glass jars

Im babysitting and we did an activity where you put beads on pegs and melt/fuse them together. What can I use to protect them from the iron when I melt it so they don't melt onto the iron?
I know the kit is supposed to come with some kind of wax paper but it was lost.
Any suggestions?
